Does anybody have any news on our friends over at the Hodge?
Their board seems to have been wipe out in the latest ezboard whammy that's going on over there and I'm just feeling bad for the folks, don't know them well or anything, they just always treated me well and all.
hope it's ok to ask this here, Fair, didn't know where else to post it
Thanks

Post everything in the VIEWS section unless it's a response to a post somewhere else. I've moved it there.
I've been in touch with the admin at Hodgepodge (Starfire here) and she is still waiting for ezboard to sort the problems out but I think at least some posts will be lost. |

All or many of the ezboards were affected by a hacker. Unfortunatly this is not the first time this has happened to ezboard.
Many of those affected lost member numbers and posts which is not a good thing for the board owners but mind you many of those numbers are repeat users anyway.
My take is they would be alot better off to switch to a different forum format altogether. |

Thanks laserman and Fair,
I knew ezboard had been hit I just hadn't been able to find out anything on hodge. Seemed like the other boards I knew of all found some way of communicating their status or were lucky enough to get something up & running.
The Hodge & a few others - on the day I posted this were just gone! All there was was html code in its place.
But by the time you both had replied, happily, they'd been able to recover enough of their data & were back up & running (if you can call it that lol)
What a mess EZboard has on its hands, omg! That hacker got them good!
My fiancee used to run a small isp & I know the hrs it takes to get servers restored for any kind of problem on a scale nowhere related to what ezboard must be going through. He used to work 24hrs round the clock for 3 - 4 days just for small server screw ups/not to mention attacks.
