They sent me this e-mail:
Thank you very much for choosing to play with Acropolis and I hope you are enjoying it.
In line with UK gaming requirements to “know our customers”, we need two forms of Identification from you. Please reply to this e-mail supplying one form of identification from each list below.
We need one form of identification showing your photo and Date of Birth. Please supply a copy of one:
Valid Passport
Valid Drivers License
Valid Identity Card
In addition we would need to receive a copy of a Utility Bill which is less than three (3) months old and shows your current address: Please supply one for the following list:
Bank Statement
Credit Card Statement
Electricity Bill
Gas Bill
Water Bill
Council Tax Bill
Telephone Bill
Please note we are not able to accept envelopes as a form of identification.
Please either scan and e-mail, fax (to 0151 237 6130), or send to Online Casinos, Stanley Online, 151 Dale Street, Liverpool L2 2JW, UK.
I am sorry for any inconvenience.
If you do not have the facilities to scan or fax the forms to us, we would be more than happy to supply you with a pre-paid envelope.
In the meantime if there is anything we can help you with, please do not hesitate to contact myself, or any of our customer service advisors.
Yours sincerely,
Philip Lam

This is normal for online casinos to verify your identity. Some casinos only ask for ID for larger cashouts and have other methods such as sending a PIN number to your address. You only need to send the ID once.
Keep scanned copies of you ID handy in case a casino requires them, so you can just email it to them. Make sure you only play at reputable sites because you don't want to send your ID to the dodgy places although you shouldn't really have anything to worry about (never heard of identity theft of online casino players)!
Acropolis is a safe place to play. How much did you win?
It says this in the Terms:
| Quote: |
Prior to releasing any winnings to you, the Company reserves the right to conduct a security review and to require you to provide such identification or other information or documentation as the Company, in its unfettered discretion, deems necessary. If you fail to comply with any security request, the Company reserves the right to void any winnings in your account.
